Volunteer Opportunities
IMCK Long-Term Volunteer Openings:
Currently, there are no openings for long-term volunteers at IMCK in DR Congo. However, specialists in medicine, education, finances, and technical areas (maintenance, hydroelectric engineers) are needed periodically. Check back here regularly or contact us if you have a special interest in serving at IMCK on a short-term basis.
With the retirement of Dr. John Fletcher, who served at IMCK for 30 years, there is a desperate need for a surgeon at Good Shepherd Hospital. Even a short-term assignment as a surgeon would be most beneficial at this time. If you are trained in this area, please consider serving at IMCK.
Other Ways to Volunteer:
For volunteering time and skills, there are several ways to get involved in supporting IMCK:
Learn more about IMCK and the DR Congo and talk to your friends about the good work at IMCK.
Work with your church Mission Committee to make them aware of IMCK and the impact of partnering.
Organize fundraising events (speakers, dinners, concerts, fun runs) for your church and community.
Share the IMCK website with friends on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
Encourage alternative giving in which people can send gifts to IMCK in honor of an individual.
If you have access to medical equipment or supplies that could be of help to IMCK, contact us to see what needs exist and how you might arrange shipment of these items.
