Planned Giving
A Legacy of Compassion
“Society grows great when we plant trees in whose shade we know we shall never sit.”

When you take the important step of supporting the Institut Médical Chrétien du Kasai (IMCK) through planned giving, you build a legacy of compassion for yourself and your heirs. Your gift will help IMCK now, and in the future, as it provides much needed medical services and a Christian witness in a very challenging environment. A gift that will make a big difference to IMCK and the people they serve.
A planned gift is a lasting investment you can make in IMCK, advancing their mission and ensuring their ability to provide medical aid to our underserved friends in the Democratic Republic of Congo now and in the future. We encourage you to consider gifting a portion of your estate to support the IMCK Endowment Fund.
Giving to the IMCK Endowment Fund Through the Medical Benevolence Foundation
To establish your gift for the IMCK Endowment Fund, you will name our fiscal sponsor, the Medical Benevolence Foundation (MBF), as the beneficiary in one or more of the following:
- Will and/or Trust documents
- Investment accounts
- Retirement accounts (IRA, 401k, 403b or other retirement plan)
- Banking accounts (savings and checking)
- Life insurance policy
As a 501c(3) charitable organization, your distribution to MBF may provide tax benefits to your family. Please consult with your financial or retirement advisers to determine how this beneficiary designation may be best implemented for your financial situation.
How to Name the Medical Benevolence Foundation as Beneficiary
Ask your retirement advisor or financial institution for a change of beneficiary form and add the new beneficiary as:
Legal name: Medical Benevolence Foundation
Address: 12946 Dairy Ashford Road Suite 230
Sugar Land, TX 77478
Federal tax ID: 62-6046138
Designation: IMCK Endowment Fund
Estate assets which may be transferred to Medical Benevolence Foundation may be in the form of:
- A stated dollar amount
- Stocks, funds, or bonds
- A percentage of your residual estate (what remains after gifts to your loved ones are distributed and expenses have been paid)
This sample language may be useful as you update your estate documents:
“I give and bequeath Medical Benevolence Foundation, 12946 Dairy Ashford Road, Suite 230, Sugar Land, TX 77478 [the sum of __________ Dollars ($____)] [ _______ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate], to be used for the IMCK Endowment Fund.”
Important Information
In order for your gift to be properly assigned to the IMCK Endowment Fund, it is very important that this information is provided in your estate documents that name MBF as the beneficiary.
