Serving the Future of DR Congo
Two schools – ITM (Medical Technical Institute) and ISTM (Superior Medical Technical Institute) – provide training for nurses and laboratory technicians.
Compassionate Care for the People of Kasai
IMCK hospitals and clinics provide critical services to the people in DR Congo. Emergency services at the hospitals have saved countless lives over the years.
Powering the Future of IMCK
We take electricity and water for granted in our homes but in the Kasai provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, these are not generally available. The construction of the hydroelectric facilities – dams and powerhouses – vastly improved the ability of the Good Shepherd Hospital (Tshikaji) and the Bibanga Hospital to provide medical and educational services.
Maintaining these facilities is an ongoing challenge in a country where repair parts are very difficult to obtain.
In spite of the difficulties facing the people of DR Congo, they maintain a strong and joyous spirit! From the Atlantic Ocean to the high mountains in the East, the Congolese are working diligently for a brighter future.
