The IMCK Endowment Fund is critical to the long-term sustainability of IMCK. While best efforts are applied by the administration to balance the books, Christian motivation leads IMCK to provide services for all patients, even those with insufficient resources. Receipts from services are often stretched thin and do not cover major expenses, leading to periodic inability to pay salaries or obtain life-giving medicines and supplies. As a result, IMCK has been forced to rely on donations in order to continue functioning.
As is the case with most hospitals and schools in the United States, an endowment fund can be used to stabilize an organization’s financial condition. This is a step toward operational independence that would be a major benefit to IMCK.
The long-term goal of the Friends of IMCK is to raise a fund principal of $2M from which distributions can be made to supplement the budget of IMCK. An intermediate goal of $1M will trigger initial payouts and with your help, we can reach it!
